Comparison

GYMZO vs Fitbod: which workout tracker fits how you train?

Short answer: pick GYMZO if you'd rather own a plan you can see, edit and keep, if you want a genuinely usable free tier, or if you train in Arabic or another of 36 languages. The deepest difference is who holds the plan.

The short version

  • Pick GYMZO if you want a fixed, editable plan you own, a free tier you can live in, plans you can share by code, or a language Fitbod doesn't ship.
  • Either works if you don't know how to programme for yourself and want software to do it — they just hand it to you very differently.

Where GYMZO is different

You hold the plan, not the algorithm

GYMZO AI Coach builds a plan once and hands it over as a normal plan in your library — visible, editable, shareable, permanent. Fitbod's model is the opposite by design: it generates a session each time you train. The difference shows up the first time you want to change something, share it, or take it to a coach.

A free tier you can actually live in

Unlimited logging, the ready-made plans, an unlimited plan builder and the full exercise library cost nothing on GYMZO, permanently. Fitbod gives you a few sessions before requiring a subscription — it's a paid product with a sample, not a free tier.

36 languages, Arabic-first, full RTL

Fitbod's App Store listing shows three languages: English, Portuguese and Spanish. GYMZO ships 36 with full right-to-left layout, and Arabic is the default. If you train in Arabic, this is not a close comparison.

Coaches and gyms are in the product

Plans can pass from a coach to a member by code with no seat to buy, and any gym can run a free live screen on its floor. Fitbod is built for the individual lifter only.

What both apps do well

  • Software that will build you a workout when you don't know what to do.
  • Large exercise libraries with demonstrations, filtered by the equipment you have.
  • Equipment-aware plans — home, garage and full-gym setups all produce different workouts.
  • Clean in-workout logging with your previous numbers to hand.
  • Progress charts over your own training history.

If you're switching

There's no automatic import from Fitbod into GYMZO. The closest equivalent is to answer GYMZO AI Coach's questions once and let it build you a plan, then edit it — that gets you to a comparable starting point in a couple of minutes.

The adjustment is conceptual more than practical: you'll be following a plan you can see, rather than opening the app to find out what today is.
