Comparison
GYMZO vs Strong: which workout tracker fits how you train?
Short answer: pick GYMZO if you need a plan to travel from a coach to a member by code, if you want more than three routines without paying, if you train in Arabic or another of 36 languages, or if your gym wants a free live screen. Both log unlimited workouts free.
The short version
- Pick GYMZO if you want unlimited plans on the free tier, plans that can be handed over by code, a language Strong doesn't ship, or a screen for your gym floor.
- Either works if you mainly want a reliable barbell log with your last numbers on screen — both are built around exactly that.

Where GYMZO is different
The free tier isn't a three-routine trial
Strong's free version caps you at three custom routines, which is the wall most people hit. GYMZO doesn't cap plans at all on the free tier, and ships a full set of ready-made ones alongside the builder.
Plans can change hands
A coach or a friend shares a QR or 6-digit code, and you import your own permanent copy. Strong has no equivalent hand-off — routines live on your device and stay there.
36 languages, Arabic-first, full RTL
Strong's App Store listing shows 11 languages, none of them Arabic. GYMZO ships 36 with full right-to-left layout, and Arabic is the default rather than a translation added last.
A free screen for the gym
Any TV with a browser shows a room code, members pair from the app, and the floor sees who's training. It costs the gym nothing. Strong has no gym-facing product.
What both apps do well
- Unlimited free workout logging.
- Fast set entry designed for one hand, mid-set.
- Your previous session's numbers visible while you log today's.
- Supersets, drop sets, warm-up sets and the structures real programmes use.
- Custom exercises when the library doesn't have your movement.
- A lifetime purchase option, so you're not obliged to rent it forever.
If you're switching
There's no automatic import from Strong into GYMZO. Rebuild your routine in the plan builder — a few minutes once — and log forward from today.
A few weeks in, the history is your own again — and this time nothing is counting your routines.
